THE RIVER     The River Dee     The Catch     The Pools	After the euphoria of the opening day of 2009, when we landed 11 springers and a month's total of 32, things went downhill and the spring and summer months were poor compared with the previous year. The Dee generally had a pretty good year, but the middle beats missed out although water levels were maintained. Interestingly, there were more sea trout about this year. Hopefully, their numbers will increase. It was nice to see so many fish in our pools in October, which should augur well for the future.
